We had a chance to interview Josh who has a very interesting take on the vegan diet. He decided to add insects! So naturally, we were curious how such a diet works for him, what insect based meals he eats, and how he came up with the name entovegan! Let’s go straight into the interview.
We were in a meeting when we received the email. A supermarket chain with 400 stores ordered thousands of our products! It was hard to hide our excitement as this was a big step for our company and the insect industry as a whole. We quickly realized there’s no time for celebrations, getting the order was just the beginning. Thousands of SENS bars and SENS breads is not something that was lying in our warehouse ready to be shipped.
We listened to your feedback and made some changes to our protein bars. Did you think they were a bit too dry? You don’t need to worry about that anymore. We went back to the drawing board and reworked the recipes. You can look forward to a new and improved consistency, mouth feel, and even nutritional profile!
Eating insects probably sounds like a crazy food trend to some people. But the reality is that insects have always been a part of the human diet and even today 2 billion people around the world regularly eat insects. What can we do to make insects normal for the rest of us?
According to a new study published in the Molecular Biology and Evolution journal, the food of choice for our ancestors, insects, could still be eaten and digested by almost all primates today, including humans. We are happy to hear that!
